Lochburn Middle School

Welcome to the 2025-26 school year! I am excited to see our Lochburn Lions back on campus. There are some exciting changes happening to our instructional program such as Project-based Learning which is an interdisciplinary project. All content areas will work together to create a real-world project worthy of our student showcase events throughout the year. 

We have some important events coming up in the coming months. Please see below for our announcements! 

• Back to School Orientation Block Party is August 25, 2025!
  • 6th grade students may arrive at 10:00am and 7th and 8th grade students may arrive at 11:00am
  • Students will be able to:
    • Receive their class schedule and bus pass;
    • Take their school pictures (come photo ready!)
    • Receive a free haircut and school supplies
  • The block party will begin at 11:00am! We will have:
    • BBQ
    • Face Painting
    • Photo Booth
    • Game Truck
    • Yard Games and more!
• Picture Make-Up day is September 16th
  • This is for students who did not take a photo at the block party
• Picture Retake Day is October 16th
  • This is for all students who want to retake their photo.
• Open Haunted House is October 30th, 6:00pm-8:00pm
  • There will be dinner, trick or treating and a haunted house for the whole community to enjoy.
  • If your family acknowledges Halloween, please feel free to dress up in costume! If your family does not acknowledge the holiday, please still come and enjoy some dinner and get to know our teachers and staff!
• After school clubs will be Monday-Thursday beginning in October. More information to come!
• Fall sports are Track and Field, Tennis, Baseball and Fastpitch. Students can sign up for sports on Final Forms at any time! Please check your email for a sign-up email to Final Forms.

We are excited to watch our Lochburn Lions grow this school year. We could not do this work without you.
