Principal Message

Principal Greg Wilson

Hello Lochburn Students and Families,

Message for March 27th – April 3rd

We are entering our third week of school closure, and like you, we are hoping for positive changes soon. In the meantime, we hope you and your family are well, and you have what you need to make it through an exceptional time in our history. Your Lochburn administrative team, is busy both at work, when allowed, and at home, planning for a successful return to school, tentatively scheduled for April 27th. Please remember, this date could change based on state updates.

School hours – Our school is closed, and only rotating custodial staff, and occasional administration are in the building. The voicemails left are being monitored. Please leave an email address and phone number when you leave a message so we can get back to you soon However, teachers and administration are reading and responding to emails!

School work packets – Our work packets continue to be available at our bus stops each Wednesday. Packets are also available at the gate, outside our main office, every day. Remember that new packets come out each Wednesday. These are not graded, and are not turned in. There will not be a new packet on Wednesday, April 1st. New packets will resume after spring break, April 8th.  continue to be available at the following link - http://www.cloverpark.k12.wa.us/Special/DLR.aspx

Breakfast and lunch – Meals will continue to be delivered over spring break. We hope this additional support has made life just a little easier as we navigate many new challenges. Drop off locations are available at the following link - http://www.cloverpark.k12.wa.us/Special/DLRMeals.aspx

Grades and End of Quarter – The end of the quarter has been changed from March 27, 2020 to April 10, 2020. This means that our students have 10 extra days to get their missing work done and in. Work can be emailed to their teacher. You may email a document to the teacher, and there is a collection box next to our packets outside the gates at our school. If you turn in work, Mrs. Zanuttini, Mrs. Muneshige or Mr. Wilson will scan the work to the teacher for you!

Continued Communication – Families and students can look forward to receiving more emails from each teacher after spring break – starting April 6th.

We hope you are finding our continued support helpful. We truly miss our kids and seeing our families here at school. We look forward to the time we are back in session, seeing the joy of learning together happening once again.

Sincerely,

Mr. Wilson and the Lochburn Administrative Team – Mrs. Zanuttini and Mrs. Muneshige
