Carla Estes

Hello Lochburn Families!

We are excited to welcome our students back on campus for the first day of school. This year we will start our project-based learning activities which will provide students with many opportunities for hands-on learning and multiple ways to achieve success in the classroom.

School Mission and Vision

We approach education with an asset-based philosophy that values the cultural wealth that each student, staff and family member inherently possesses. Students will see themselves as successful in school and are prepared for post-secondary academic or career opportunities.

Z passes can be picked up in the ASB Cafeteria. If your student does not have a z-pass but they are bus riders, they will still be able to ride their assigned bus.

Important Dates:

  • September 16: Picture Make-up Day
  • October 16: Picture Retake Day
  • October 30: Open Haunted House

Breakfast is served from 8:15 to 9:30 in the cafeteria. We have extended breakfast hours to accommodate late buses or traffic delays.

Student Laptops

Laptop distribution starts August 27th be on the lookout for laptops coming home with your student. It is important to purchase Assurance to protect your student’s laptop. Paying $30 ($15 for free and reduced lunch with Consent to Share) is more cost effective than replacing the laptop or its parts.

Things to keep in mind:

  • Assurance must be purchased prior to any damage to the device.
  • Assurance can only be applied to damage after the date of purchase. It cannot be purchased at time of reporting damage.

For more information about purchasing Assurance protection and a list of Laptop Repair or Replacement Costs, contact the Main Office
